Top Of The Foot Swollen With Pain Due To Hitting. What Should I Do ?

Hi my name is mike,the other day I ended up kicking my door out of anger and immeadietley I felt pain,a few hours went by and the pain worsened,i was able to walk but not normally,now a week later the top of my foot is swollen a little and im able to walk normally,the top of my foot still has some pain,what should I do?

It might be soft tissue injury or fracture.

Without X-ray, it is difficult to differentiate a fracture from others. I suggest you to consult an orthopaedician nearby for a detailed examination. You may get the X-ray of the area affected under his/her guidance.

In the interim,apply ice packs to the affected area,anti-inflammatory drug like motrin1 tablet with food as and when required (upto 4 tablets daily) to reduce pain and inflammation. Avoid putting weight and rest well.
