Tore A Thyroid Ligament In Neck. Is It An Alignment Problem In Thyroid Cartilage? Determine It?

I am a speech therapist. I believe that, at some point a few months ago, I tore a thyrohyoid ligament in my neck. I have had a popping in my neck for several years, which I believe to be an alignment problem with my thyroid cartilage and hyoid bone . If I did in fact tear a ligament on my thyroid cartilage, what types of tests/assessments can be done to truly determine my problem?

I do ot think there is any such ligament so do not worry about this. If you are worried that any such injury has occurred then my advice to you is to get a x ray and ultrasound of the neck so see if there is any swelling or collection of blood in the neck. This will give us information about any such problem.
