Torn Muscles And Loose Tendons In Right Shoulder, Painful. Prescribed Hydrocodone Tablets. Do The Tablets Cause Gastritis?
I have a prescription for Hydrocodone/Acetaminop(?) 5-325. My doctor prescribed 2 at a time/PRN but only prescribed 30/month. I have torn all my muscles and tendons loose in my right shoulder, which is very painful. I have only been taking one at a time to make them last, but run out in a week-ten days and suffer greatly the rest of the time. He has no idea how painful this is! I just want to know the side effects since I have had an ulcer/gerd symptoms for quite some time now. My next appointment with him is not until the end of July. Don
This is just to let you know that an MRI scan of your shoulder joint is needed to assess the extent of damage to the muscles, tendons and ligaments without which it is not possible to exactly diagnose the problem.
All analgesic medications will produce gastritis to some extent. So if you are a known GERD patient, it is customary to take a PPI (proton pump inhibitor) along with pain medicines.
