Treatment For Cold, Cough, Fever Despite Calpol?

My daughter is 7+years, she had cold, cough with co newton in chest and fever, Doctor prescribed her calpol250mg, Novamox 250mg, Relent syrup and levolin on 27th January 2014, she has still not recovered after 7 days. She had travelled to different city since 29th january 2014. Plz suggest.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. Steam inhalation, nebulization with bronchodilators may also be considered for some symptomatic relief. She should also be investigated in terms of CXR, CBC, ESR to rule out any chronic infection. Usually allergic bronchitis takes some time to go.
