Treatment For Itching Area On Upper Arm?

My boyfriend gets this itch on his right upper arm, when he itches it he says it gets bigger, and he said that when hes taking a shower the hot water makes it start itching. He got one very similar but it grew to the size of a nickel and left a scar.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

I think your boyfriend is probably having acute urticaria. And that would be precipitated by hot water. There may be wheals anywhere on body which may be increased after scratching. You consult dermatologist for firm diagnosis. After thorough investigation, he would give proper treatment. Antihistaminic like fexofenadine and steroids in tappering dose may improve the disease. I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
