Treatment For Stomach Pain And Nausea Despite Taking Laxatives?

i just got back from a trip, so i had diarrhea, so i took some medication to stop it, but then my stomach started hurting so bad like it feels like its getting ripped out, so i feel like im gonna puke but i also have to poo, so my mom gave me laxitaves last night and this morning but the pain hasnt stopped i still feel like im gonna puke

Good day! I'm sorry you are experiencing these symptoms. It sounds like you may have contracted travelers diarrhea, a rarely life threatening infection which nevertheless can be quite uncomfortable. It typically lasts for 3 to 7 days. The mainstay of treatment is hydration, and allowing your body to rid itself of the bacteria. Anti-Diarrheal medications, or stopping yourself from going to the bathroom will only keep the bacteria/virus in your system, so that is no good. Also Laxatives will dehydrate you, also not particularly helpful. I suggest you hydrate often, go to the bathroom often, and expect your body to naturally rid the disease within the next day or two. If you start to experience worsening symptoms and or blood on stool or vomit then it is time to contact emergency services. I wish you the best and a speedy recovery.
