Tried Prednisone, Azithromycin And Cough Syrup For Itching In Skin, Tiredness And Cough. Also Take Zyrtec And Montelukast?

Hi. I have been fighting something ugly for over a month, and it has caused me to be extremely tired and and to cough... alot! After trying serveral different things (prednisone, azithromiacin, cough syrup with codeine), and nothing helping, my doctor prescribed Zirtec and Montelukast yesterday. I must admit, I am feeling better, and have not coughed much today, all of a sudden, I am noticing that my tongue, finger tips, and tips of my toes are starting to itch. Is this something to worry about, or is it just something to live through?

Hi,

If you have just started to use Zirtec and Montelukast (yesterday0, and today you are feeling itching, I suggest to stop using these drugs and consult your physician immediately.

You might be experiencing possible allergy, and must understand which of these drugs is causing it. Please report to your doctor to change therapy.

All the best!
