Trying For Baby, Sonography Normal. Prescribed Emfolic DHA Till Pregnancy. Side Effects Of Medication?
Hello doctor, I am 28 years old, I and my husband is trying for a baby for the last 6 months, but I am unable to conceive, The sonography reports are normal. Doctor prescribed me to take 1 Emfolic DHA capsule on regular basis till i get pregnant. Please suggest me if I should take that or not, is their any side effect of this medicine or not? And also if it will help me to conceive?
Hi,
Thanks for using the HCM. I am happy to address your questions, Emfolic DHA contains folic Acid (Vit B9)-5 mg , DHA (Decosahexanoic Acid)-200 mg, and supplementation with the omega-3 fatty aciddocosahexaenoic acid (DHA) during pregnancy could boost the problem solving abilities of the children, as per research. Many studies have shown that women who get 400 micrograms (0.4 milligrams) of folic acid daily prior to conception and during early pregnancy reduce the risk that their baby will be born with a serious neural tube defect (a birth defect involving incomplete development of the brain and spinal cord) by up to 70%. That's why it's so important for all women of childbearing age to get enough folic acid and not just those who are planning to become pregnant. Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help. Thanks
