Metformin is usually prescribed as a treatment of PCOS.
Majority of PCOS has anovulation (ie no ovulation at all) or infrequent ovulation. so it inturn causes infertility.
Even when PCOS has been cured by metformin, there may be anovulation for some time.
Clomifene (Clomide) is a drug usually given to induce ovulation.
Abdominal discomfort, discharges are documented side effects of Clomifene.
If the side effects are causing enough trouble you need to consult your OBGYN for some other mode of treatment. It may take some time for inducing ovulation, Be patience
It may also advisable to look for ovulation investigations, if takes considerably long time.
Bye
