Trying To Lose Weight. Prescribed Duromine. Thyroid Normal. Advice?
I've been trying to lose weight for 7 months now I got prescribed duromine 2 months ago. I'm exercising (walking half an hr a day) eating good food (food on the list my doc gave me) between 900-1300 calories a day and drinking plenty of water but I'm not seeing any real results. I have had my thyroid etc tested and the doc says there's nothing wrong with me and I must be lying about how much I'm eating/exercising otherwise I would be losing weight. Any ideas?
It can be difficult to lose weight. There are different weight loss diets that can be used and the response can vary from one person to the next.
If you are sticking to the calorie and fat restriction of your low fat/low calorie diet and you are still having difficulty losing weight then you can consider low carbohydrate diet.
It may work better for you. It is stated to work because the reduced use of carbohydrates lowers the insulin that is released. Insulin prevents the breakdown of fat , so lower insulin means greater fat breakdown.
In addition there are weight loss medications that can be helpful.
I hope this helps
