Type 2 Diabetic With Increased Heart Rate And Hyperventilation. Taking Nuerofen And Panadine For Sciatica. Reasons?
I am a 55 year old male. I din't smoke. I am occasionally finding that my heart starts to beat very hard and fast and at this time finding myself struggling for air which leads me to hyperventilate. I have type 2 diabetes that has just been treated with diaformin (Metforman XR). I also have acute psyatic pain that I have been treating with a ncombination of neurofen + and panadine. It's the shortness of breath and irregular heart that is concerning me.
Hello, I have gone through your query and understood your concern. In my opinion the cardiovascular risk associated with diabetes is aggravating the shortness of breath and irregular heart. These symptoms might closely relate to myocardial infarction. I suggest you to take ECG test and Troponin I test. You can use ecosprin 75 mg once daily for a week (beware with injury and bleeding) while using this medicine. If your blood sugars are not in control you might change your oral hypoglycemic agents. Rest medication is alright for you. Hope this helped you. You can write down for any other issues or follow up. Thanks.
