UTI After Prostate Surgery, Little Control Over Urination, Unclear Urine. Mikacin Injection, Nifran 100 Tablets Given. Suggestions?

my father is suffering with a UTI infection after protate surgery(13 days ago), doctor has given Mikacin 500 injection twice a daily for 8 days after that Nifran 100 tablet twice a daily for one month. My father has a little control to urinate, and urine sample is not clear, it contains deposits. In these circumstances please provide me the right direction

Hello
Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that your father has undergone TURP for enlarged Prostate 13 days ago and does not have control over urination
This is a normal after TURP and takes 4-6 weeks to get control till the cavity that is created by removing the prostate heals up completely.
Do not worry it will get resolved within 6 weeks time.
Till then continue taking antibiotics.
