Hello and welcome to HCM
Before commeting on the ultrasound report, I would like to give you an overview of normal structure and position of the reproductive organs.
The uterus is normally anteverted. It forms an angle with the cervix. Retroverted position is less common than the anteverted position.
A
retroverted uterus causes complications of painful intercourse and painful menstruation.
The thickness is endometrium (endometrial lining) is more in your case. There may be associated
endometrial hyperplasia. You may require an
endometrial biopsy or endometrial curretting.
Adenomyosis is an usual finding and of no consequences.
Presence of follicles is a normal finding. Follicles of variable sizes are common and are asymptomatic in majority of cases.
Symptoms appear in case of large or painful follicles.
Focus of hemorrhage is a normal finding. It is a natural history of
corpus luteum.
Corpus luteum is formed when the ovum is released from the follicle.
Only abnormal finding is that of
thickened endometrium for which an endometrial biopsy/ curreting is required.
Thanks and take care
