Under Treatment For Radiating Pain In Chest And Neck, With No Relief. What Do The Varied Symptoms Suggest?

Dear Sir,

I have been experiencing pain (radiating to left chest , left hand , left side of stomach and sometimes to left leg) for past two weeks .BP (130/90mm) ,ECG were normal when consulted a general physician.

I was told that the neck might have got sprains and was advised to take up IFT -in a physio-centre and was given general pain killer . Iam an working professional and I am really disturbed by the pain and radiative pain (not really a pain , but some sort of tingles) in hands .I was suggested to consult an ortho by my physiotherapist . consulted an Orthao , Neck LT was x-rayed and i was told that there are no problems in relation to neck bones .MY doctor prescribed me a muscle relaxer ( FLEXURA- Metaxalone 400 mg) and was advised to take IFT along with ICT ( traction therapy) .

Again , visisted my general surgeon , who stopped flexura and prescribed me ( NUROKIND G 100) Gabapentin -100 + metaxalone tablet and ( NEORELAX-MR ) Thiocolchicoside 4mg, Aceclofenac 100mg & Paracetamol 500mg Tablets .
Iam continuing IFT+ICT till now .

My quereies are :

1.My neck and shoulder pain are still persisting .will there by any undetected issue in my neck bones ?like cracks or any dislocation or a bone pressing on a nerve ?

2.When the pain raidates down to shoulder and chest , iam over - excited , sweating starts and then shorteness in breath sometimes . Please explain reasons for shortenss in breath.Iam worried .

3.When the pain radiates down to stomach( tingling and vibrations) , sometimes iam urged to go for an excretion .Will it be a side effect of tablet ?

4.For the past three days , i have been expericening pain in my inner middle/inner ear (which i couldnot differentiate) .Is that an effect of existing pain or due to tablets ?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The pain that you have is less likely to be due to bone issues and more likely to be related to a muscle stiffness. Taking oral muscle relaxants and doing a regular hot fomentation will be of help.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
