Undergone Surgery To Remove Cyst Under Nipples, Recurring, Paining. Treatment?
I have a recurring cyst under my nipple. I had surgery to remove it years ago and it came back. It develops about every 6 to 8 months, only now when it comes, after about 3 to 4 weeks, it bursts through the areola, and takes days to drain. It's mostly fluid and a white thicker substance. It's very painful and can get to the size of a golf ball under the nipple area. Do you know what can be done to keep this cyst from recurring? And have you seen this issue in others before?
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The recurrent cyst under the nipple that you are having seems to be related to a blocked gland in the area. You need to avoid infection from all sources in the area to avoid the build up of fluid under the nipple. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
