Underwent Knee Aspiration. High WBC, ESR And C Reactive Protein. Had Fallen On Knee. Suggestions?

I underwent a knee aspiration and it showed a very high WBC, no obvious signs of infection, a high ESR and a High C Reactive Protein. I fell on my knee 15 months ago and it's still has swelling at the pre-patellar bursa. I do have bilat knee replacements and stil have chronic knee pain. I just learned from my dr that he wants a repeat of those labs and another knee aspiration.....should I be concerned

The increased levels of ESR and CRP with WBC in the knee aspiration fluid is suggestive of an inflammatory cause. Rest and pain killers are the mainstay of the treatment. Local cortisone injections may be needed for recurrent collection.
