Hey, Recently I ve been getting random bruises on my right arm . I m not quite sure what s causing them. Most seem to start as one little speck that then expand. One completely encompassed my wrist , and many people thought that I was being abused when I m not. Most of the bruises stay at a deep, dark purple for a long time, and the next color they stay the longest is a disconcerting, oily yellow color. If anyone knows what it is, it would be much appreciated. It s starting to interfere with my daily life.
Hello,
Bruising in absence of any injury is generally caused due to following reasons.
1.. Use of certain medications like aspirin, pain killers, anti coagulants like warfarin.
2.. Due to lack of platelets which may be caused by many types of diseases like leukaemia or cancer.
3...due to deficiencies of clotting factor in blood or in Samos chronic liver diseases.
4.. As you age capillaries become fragile and skin becomes thinner.
I would advise you to consult a doctor and get all the relevant investigations done for proper diagnosis.
Thanks
