Unpainful Pulse On Side Of Neck. Doing Exercise, Still Gaining Weight. Reason For Unpainful Pulse?

My mom excersises 5 days a week , drinks lots of water . She did this for 1 year and a half . She also went to the gym half of the year . Then 1 week ago she went to her doctor and found out she gained 20 lbs. 2 years ago she started to get a unpainful pulse on the side of her neck on the left side. She went to the doctor and they told her she didnt have anything. She is anxious to know what this is.

It can be presumed that your doctor has rightly examined you and give his opinion.
For your satisfaction ultrasound of the region can be done with colour Doppler. If it is vascular structure, it can be detected during Doppler study.
Further treatment depends on that.
