Unprotected Sex, Negative Cmia And Elisa Tests That Showed Different Values. Am I Negative?
HI, DOCTOR I HAD UNPROTECTED SEX ABOUT 1.5 YEARS AGO, AND AFTER THAT I WAS CLEAN NO SEX, DRUG USE. I RECENTLY HAD CMIA AND ECLIA 4TH GEN TEST FOR HIV , BOTH CAME NEGATIVE BUT VALUE WAS DIFFERENT CMIA(0.16), ECLIA (0.22, TESTED NEXT DAY AFTER CMIA) I HAVE NOTICE A INCREASE IN FIGURE OF THE RATE. AM I NEGATIVE ? WILL THAT NUMBER INCREASE ?
You are HIV negative. There will be minor variations in the test results on 2 consecutive days. It can be because of the method used and the type of test used and the way it is performed in the lab.
The number may not increase substantially.
Hope this helps.
