Unprotected Sex, Taken Pill. Blood Coming From Vagina. Normal? Should I Meet Doctor?
Me & my girlfriend made love (unprotected) on 25th April though i didn t ejaculate inside to be safe she took postinor-2 & after a week on 2 nd may she said small amount (drops) of blood coming from her vagina (no pain). today she is saying it comes like as if it is her menstruation. should i take her to a doctor or is it normal as it says on postinor-2?
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Emergency pill can alter the menstrual cycle depending on the period of the menstrual cycle when she took the pill.
If she took the pill in the first half of the cycle it can prepone the periods.
Refer:http://srsree.blogspot.in/2012/08/emergency-contraceptive-pill-short-term.html
So the bleeding can stop as normal menstrual flow. She can wait and watch.
If the bleeding increases or continues for longer period, she can consult gynecologist once.
