Urge For Frequent Urination. Normal Kidney, Appropriate PSA. Suggestions?

Hi! I,m 78, have to urinate every 2-3hrs, day and night, no pains or anything other than usual feeling of-need-to-go type, last PSA was March 2013- reading was appropriate to my age i.e. expect gradual prostate enlargement and raising of PSA number over time. Kidneys are seemingly fine. Have never been a heavy drinker and for past 6 mths have restricted self to about 50-70ml. of wine per day. Is this experience of mine common to the age group and am I worrying about nothing really? Appreciate your interest-Kiwi Graham

Thanks for query on HCM.
Urgency and frequency of urination at this age indicates some problem regarding prostate.
Go for usg abdomen, prostate to confirm the prostate enlargement,it also occurs even with normal PSA. Rule out any stone formation in the tract.
Otherwise also rule out diabetes by fbs, ppbs and urine test.
Take b12,calcium,minerals supplement.
Keep in touch with your doctor.
