Urinalysis Of 11 Months Old's Shows Trace Of Albumin, Advised Zifi 5 ML. How To Get Rid Of UTI ?
Hello Doctor, my 11 months old boy s urine routine report taken yesterday shows 1-2 epithilial cells and 3-4 Puss cells and trace of albumin , the results were same on 16th august when my kid was undergoing medication and now the local pediatrician has advised us to give him Zifi 5 ML once everyday. Is this something to worry? How long would it take to get rid of an UTI? Kindly suggest. Thanks, AAAAA
Pus cells and albumin in urine indicate infection and should be properly treated.
I would suggest that you should get a culture/senstivity of his urine done. This will help in knowing the causative organism and the appropiate antibiotic for the infection.
Usually it takes about 5-7 days for complete recovery from Urinary Tract Infection.
Treatment can be planned according to the the reports of the investigations.
I hope this is helpful to you.
Thanks.
