hello and welcome to HCM,
The analysis of your younger brother's report is as follows:
1. The physical characters- color, appearance, specific gravity and pH of urine are within normal limits.
2. Chemical examination reveals positivity for
proteins and bacteria.
Presence of bacteria suggests that there is presence of infection in the urine.
Proteins are present in the urine in traces which is not detected by the routine tests for proteins.
Proteins are present in urine in renal diseases.
3. Microscopy reveals presence of red blood cells. RBCs can be present in urine in
kidney diseases or it can be seen accompanying infection in the urogenital tract.
Presence of proteins in urine has to be investigated.
So, renal function tests need to be done.
Consult your doctor for clinical examination and further investigations.
Thanks and take care
