Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

TB spine (caries spine or potts spine) commonly affects the Dorsolumbar juntion like in your case D9 & D10 levels. The disease process causes weakening of the vertebral bodies and at times causes destruction leading to KNUCKLE KYPHOSIS or ANGULAR GIBBUS deformity.

Yes, you can ride a bike. But abrupt jerks are to be avoided. Use a dorsal support brace while driving. Any sudden jerks of the vertebral column may cause compression fractures of the vertebral bodies (which are already weakened by the disease process). These collapsed vertebrae may inturn cause compression of the spinal cord and may result in PARAPLEGIA (loss of function in both legs). So beware.

The same thing applies even while doing activities in Gym. Don't do any movements that produces strain on the vertebral column. I think you got my point.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day
