Used Paint Thinner To Remove Nail Polish, Chest Hurts, Burns. Was This Dangerous?

Hi, I needed to get finger nail polish off a d realized I didn't have polish remover. My husband suggested I use paint thinner, so I did. I used it on my nails and was done in about ten minuets or so. I used it in the bathroom with the fan on but I'm afraid maybe now it wasn't safe. Was this dangerous? I have a big day tomorrow so idk if it's anxiety or maybe inhaling the fumes but my chest hurts a lil, like when you have bronchitis and it kinda burns.

Hi,
Although paint thinner is not advised for the removal of nail polish, you have not done yourself any lasting harm. You have probably inhaled a small amount of the fumes from the enclosed area of your bathroom.
I suggest you rest if possible in a well ventilated area. I fully expect your symptoms to disappear in an hour or do.
