Using Knee Brace After Knee Injury. Noticed Swelling And Having Pain. Any Cure?

I fell on my knee last Saturday, went to the doctor with pain, he took a x-ray and said it came back fine. Told me to get a knee brace, so I got one later that day. I am a waitress and worked 8 hours on my feet , came home and my knee was so swollen. I am walking with a limp. Debating on going back to my doctor because I am still in pain.

Hello.
Thanks for posting your query.

From description , it seems you might suffering from soft tissue injury or ligament injurry at knee.

I would suggest getting this evaluated by an orthopedician for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management. You may get the MRI of the area affected under his/her guidance.

In the interim, continue using knee brace ,anti-inflammatory drug like motrin to reduce pain and inflammation. Avoid putting weight and rest well.

Wishing you good health.
Regards.
