Using Pravastatin For Cholesterol. Have Itchy Rashes On Legs, Face, Erratic Heart Beats. Side Effects Of Medicine?

I am a 61 year old female who has recently been put on Pravastatin for a spike in my bad cholesterol after my dr. could not determine any lifestyle or dietary reasons for the sudden rise (detected in annual blood test) I have been on it about 6 weeks. In the past couple of weeks I have had what seems like hives or an itchy rash on my legs and then on my face. I also have experienced some erratic heart beats not long after I go to bed. I have not gotten up to try to read about the side effects of this medicine. The erratic, fast heart beat doesn't seem to be listed.

The statins as a whole contain so many side effects, among them gastric irritation is one. The allergic reaction can occur with any of the drugs causing itching.
The gastric irritation can be shown as the erratic fast heart beat, in some people.
I advise you to consult your doctor for treatment of the allergy and heart issues. Thank you.
