Usually Irregular Periods, Spotting For 6 Days. Pregnant Or Ovulating?

I have an irregular period, and so I never exactly know when I am going to start. Typically though, it is about 41 days long.
My concern right now, is that I have been spotting for the past six days. And from the research I have done, that is not a good thing.. I guess my question is, how abnormal is this? What is the likelihood that I am pregnant or just ovulating?
According to my calculations I should be starting on the thirteenth //ten days from now// {my last menstrual day was the sixth of August}.
Also, sadly, going to a Dr. is out of the question for me.

Hello,
You need to undergo some hormonal tests to find out what type of hormonal imbalance you may have. That is the commonest cause of irregular cycles. Pregnancy of course is a possibility but take a test only of you miss a period. Mid cycle bleeding doesnt occur for more than a day or two. You will need hormonal medication to regularise your period.
