Veins In Arms, Hands Visible With On And Off Fluttery Sensation. Suggestions?
Hi, am 5 ft 5 in and weigh 48 kilos. My vein in my arms and hands are very visible. My query is that on my left arm (I'm lefthanded) for the last 2 months I've been getting a weird kind of fluttery sensation in the vein, then it passes. It is very offputting. I've made an appointment to see my GP re this. I am very healthy and keep very active at age 49 years. Thanks, K.P.

The visible veins in the arms is just a physiological variation. If there is no associated pain and swelling in the veins then there is no need to worry. These do become less prominent on lying down.
