Very Light Periods With Pain In Abdomen. History Of Regular Periods After Childbirth. Advice

Hi, I'm on my period and it is unusually light, almost 'spotting'. I also have a distended belly with pains from belly button to ribs. This has been going on for the last two days and is not easing. My son is 11mths old and following his birth my periods returned to normal, but last month it was barely anything and this months it's the same, with added severe pains. Can you please advise?

Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
These spotting may be because of pregnancy or because of hormonal changes.
You should consult a gynaecologist for urine, blood test and ultrasonography to rule out pregnancy.
