Very Tall. Low Back Pain. What Is It, If Not Muscle Or Ligament Strain?
my son is a 17 year old athlete, (basketball) he is currently 6-4 but I believe he is still growing some. He has had on and off low back pain for several months, and the only real relief has been when he grew 1/2 an inch. We have been to a chiro, Gp had exrays and an mri and nothing shows up, no muscle strain, no tendon or ligament strains nothing. Could this be growing pains?
Nope but it could be mechanical back pain which is common in this age group and adults. All physio is not he same and so if he is not improving I would go and see someone else. He should also take a regular anti-inflammatory medication such as ibuprofen. swimming can be of benefit and massage. Core strengthening exercises are the most useful.
