Vomiting And Fever. Should I Consult Doctor If The Vomiting Has Come Down And Fever Still Persist?

My 10 year old was vomiting throughout the night last night, today she has a fever running around 38c, no energy, no appetite but drinking water, Gatorade, and chicken broth. She is tired, sleeping lots, but relatively comfortable. She has been urinating regularly and has not vomited for last 17 hours. My concern is the fever has been there all day, up a little or down a little but really about the same. Should I take her to the doctor in the morning if she still has a fever?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for asking query on health care magic.
Give paracetamol 15 mg/kg body weight every 4-6 hourly as per necessity.
Tepid sponging 3-4 times daily to control fever.
Give plenty of fluids orally.
Consult pediatrician if fever recurs in spite of treatment.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose.
Please feel free to ask any more queries if required.
Take care
