Hi,

Intermenstrual bleeding must not be ingnored. There are many varying causes depending upon age. Knowing your age would help me guide you better
The commonest broad causes may be:
1. Any problem associated with the cervix like a small growth [polyp] or an infection [erosion], or a precancerous lesion. For this you need a gynec examination probably combined with a pap smear.
2. similar problems in the uterus called endometrial polyps. Seen by ultrasonogrphy.
3. More common is hormonal imbalance leading to irregular bleeding. For this a blood hormonal evaluation helps.
there are many other causes but they can be ruled out only after a gynec examination. So schedule an early appointment to get examined and undergo an ultrasound and pap smear as these are the baselines that will help in establishing a diagnosis.
Meanwhile if the bleeding is severe, drugs like tranexamic acid are helpful to decrease this.

Hope I was able to help you.

Have a nice day.
