Weight Gain After Having Shingles. Could This Be Due To Taking Lyrica And Sleeping Pills?
I had shingles in November 2012 had it until February 2013. In November I weighed 138lbs and since than I have been putting on weight and getting tired. I do a lot of work out like yoga, zumba, tae-Bo, working at home trying to eat healthy, like lots of salad, soups not creamy either. It is May and I weigh 151 lbs. I read last night and thought maybe after taking too many pills like lyrica, and pain killer and sleeping pills for 3 months has effected my kidneys. I still have to take Anacin for my joints and back pain. I have been for massages and chiropractor so the pain has lessen but not gone
Hi, Thanks for using healthcare magic. Sleeping pills commonly and gabapentine cause weight gain. But you should also rule physical causes like thyroid dysfunction or vitamin deficiency as you have tiredness, joint pains etc. You can do it by blood investigations for which you may have prescriptions from your doctor.

If you have stress or sleep disturbances, you should do stress management and relaxation therapy like yoga or breathing exercise . If not controlled, you should consult psychiatrist. Thanks.
