Weight Gain After Taking Qlaira. Have Abnormal Blood Hormone Levels. Suggestions?

Hi Dr Samuel. I was prescribed Qlaira 24 days ago and have gained 4.5kg in this short time. I am 1.67 tall and was 62kg's in weight only 24 days ago. I exercise regularly and follow a healthy diet no different from before Qlaira. I was diagnosed with blood hormone levels indicating a post menopausal stage, however I am only 42 years old and very healthy apart from a bit D deficiency requiring 10 000 Iu's per day. It looks like Qlaira is not for me. What do you suggest?

Qlaira contains female hormones like estrogen, progesterone etc in various combinations. This may effect or may induce menopausal state.

If qlaira induced, it should be reversible 3 months after stopping the drug

You need to rule out pregnency by testing urine for B-HCG or blood test

Doing a complete range of female sex hormone profile along with thyroid hormone considering a weight gain of 4.5 kg in 24 days. Hypothyroidism can give rise to such issues, too. Consult an endocrinologist and / or a gynaecologist
