Weird Cramps, Twinges And Heaviness, Nausea, Sensitive Breasts Followed By Watery, Light Periods. History Of Laproscopy For Ectopic Pregnancy. Advice

Hi,
I always had regular periods, 28 day cycle. Had an ectopic pregnancy 4 months ago which resulted me having laproscopy. Since then my periods were back to normal. This month however, I've had really weird cramps, not the usual period ones which lasted for about 2 days. Felt twinges and heavy. Been feeling nauseous but haven't actually been sick. Breasts feel very sensitive, and have increased in size, which they usually do when I'm on, but never get so painful. Had minor lower back pain. Thought I was pregnant, even though me and my partner have used protection, so done 2 regular shop pregnancy tests, and then went to gp today and had another one done there. All came back negative. I explained that my period is 4 days late, he told me not to worry about it, as test says I'm not pregnant. Couple of hours ago, I have started my "period" which is really watery and light red, as well as very very light (practically nothing there) I have never had periods like this, and I still think something is not right. Please help.

Hi ! good morning.
One thing you should be informed about is that urine pregnancy test is not a 100% fool proof test for excluding pregnancy. You should go for a serum HCG test which is more reliable followed by an ultrasound abdomen if need be.
Such kind of discharge could occur during implantation in pregnancy if confirmed, and if it is excluded then it could be due to some kind of pelvic inflammation.
Both the diagnosis requires physical examination and some investigations as already mentioned for confirmation. Therefore, I would suggest you to get yourself reviewed by your gynaecologist/family physician for further work up and management. Thanks and take care.
