General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

This issue may be related to possible nerve irritation or other neurology related to the lower thoracic rib cage.

If the pain intensity is around 3-4 on the scale, you can try for heating pad application with an analgesic.

If the substantial amount of discomfort with above 5 scales of pain, it is worth to visit ER otherwise not.

Mere sensation of weird movement is of no indication to rush to ER and spend dollars.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
