What Novelon, A Contraceptive Pill Is Used In Treating PCOs?

Hi Doctor, I have PCOS and was on Oosure Plus for 8 months (as advised by my doctor), and now am on Novelon for 3 months. This is the first month I started with the Novelon tablets. I would like to know why Novelon (a contraceptive pill) is used to treat PCOS? [I am unmarried, so no chances of getting pregnant]

Hi,

The pill is given to you to regularise your cycles. PCOD can be only controlled. Modify your lifestyle to have better control.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr B. Radhakrishnan. Nair, OBGYN
