What Are Sodoxone Withdrawal Signs?

I have been on suboxone for at least 4 years. I started taking it after a knee replacement, and after surgery, I had a pulmonary embolism. I have a lot of arthritis, have had neck fusion, back surgery, and two major foot surgeries. I need another knee replacement now. i want to get off Soboxone, and my primary dr. agrees, however, he does believe that suboxone helps me. I have tried to withdraw, but it is very difficult. I am 71 years old. Questions. (1) What are the usual signs of withdrawal? Right now I do not have a suboxone doctor, and thought I would try to get off it on my own. Right now i have 1/2 of a 8 mg film left. (2) What will be my symptoms after I have no more medication? (3) how long will they last? (4) Is there anything I can do to ease withdrawal symptons? Thanks you, JIm Russell

Hello
Welcome here.
Withdrawal after chronic intake of suboxone can lead to distressing withdrawal signs.
These are:
Rhinorrhea
Excessive yawning
Diarrhea
Increased sweating
Body ache especially in calf muscles.
Tremors.

These usually last for 3-4 weeks if untreated.
You can take tablet tramadol(prescription drug) to help in withdrawals.
OTC drugs liks cetrizine and ibuprofen can help to lessen the withdrawal signs.

Hope this helps.
Thanks.
