What Are Acid Reflux Symptoms?

I have eaten in restaurants two times. Both times I have had stomach acid symptoms. After I fall asleep, I have had a diarrhea-type bowel movement and soiled the bed. I have never had this symptom at home, only when we have travelled and eaten at restaurants. My MD labels this as restaurant symptom. Please explain further. Nick Petros

Hello
Diarrhoea with abdominal cramps might be related to gut infection like gastroenteritis or food poisoning or mal absorption.

If I were your treating doctor I would have put you on Metronidazole group of antibiotics for 5 to 7 days

Along with this anti acidity medicines like pantoprazole or esomeprazole with antacids or ORS solution.

You should take lots of fluids and fruits juices to maintain good hydration and to counter electrolytic imbalances.

If it doesn't improve than you have to see your doctor for stool test and an ultrasound or endoscopy if need be.
Hope this answers your question
