What Are Long Term Effects From Amphetamines?

Long term effects from amphetamines?

I take 30xr adderall and 10mg tabs fast acting everyday. Being a full time nurse it helps getting up at odd hours. Am I at risk for any heart or vascular complications down the road? I read some side effects are palpations, tachy, insomnia,no appetite, dry mouth, yadda yadda. Been on it for over 6yrs. Different doctors prescribe all sorts of weird dosages. What would work for me? Also a full time student as a family nurse practioner.

From the available description it appears that you are abusing methamphetamines which is definitely going to have deleterious effects on your health. Being a nurse practitioner you are in position to procure these drugs but at this moment you need to take appropriate decision for your own health.

You can talk to your doctor to get prescribed modafinil which is equally effective and not addictive like amphatamines.
