What Are The Adverse Effects Of Regestrone During Pregnancy?

Hi Doctor, My wife didnt get her periods in July cycle, our Gynae told chances of Cyst, we did ultrasound reports of which comes out to be non pregnancy, based on which our doctor suggested Regetrone for 1 week and again periods didnt happen then she consulted for primolute after which also she didnt get her pperiods, doctor asked for some harmonal test which inlcude Beta HCG , where it become clear that she is prgnant for almost 8 weeks. If she continues with the baby as these medicine has an adverse effect on fetus?? Kindly suggest.
