What Are The Causes Of Blood In Stool And Lower Abdominal Cramps During Defecation?
I have been drinking 1 monster energy drink per day for the last 7 years. I have taken 1 month off a few times (for health reasons), but I consistently take them due to my shift work.
I have recently been noticing copious amounts of bright red blood in my stool, as well as severe lower abdominal cramping during defecation.
Is this because of my energy drink overuse or likely due to some other disorder or disease?

As you mentioned that monster energy drink is from last 7 years , so need not to worry .
Because energy drink in your case is not responsible for this type of blood .
if this would have been due to energy drink than fresh blood would not have been there.
The fresh blood may be due to .
1 Hemorrhoids , diagnosis can be confirmed by physical examination by a surgeon .Usually fresh blood is most common feature in hemorrhoids .
2 Ulcer in rectum , diagnosis can be confirmed by ultrasound of abdomen .
In my opinion consult a surgeon and get his opinion as physical examination is also important .
