What Are The Causes Of Sharp Pain On Left Side Between Ribs And Lower Abdomen?

I have been having a steady sometimes sharp pain on my left side between my ribs and lower abdomen. I had gastric bypass surgery 18months ago and not sure what the problem might be and if its something I should contact my surgeon about. That section of my abdomen also is tender to the touch and swells on occasion making it uncomforatble

I would suggest you to meet your surgeon as early as possible as there can be an infection at operated site or it could be a block in bypass. As you are saying that site is tender to touch, it goes more in favour of infecton.
