What Are The Chances Of Pregnancy After Taking Depo Shot?

Hey so I m on the Depo shot and I m due for my shot on March third... They told me that I could get my shot 15 days sooner so I wont be bleeding for 2+ weeks but I m starting to bleed now.. I m afraid.. Like what are signs for pregnancy? That is what I am worried about.

I understand your concern.
The birth control shot (Depo shot) is an injection of a hormone that prevents pregnancy. It is made of a hormone similar to progesterone. Each shot works for up to 12 to 14 weeks, but you must get the injection once every 12 weeks to get its full protection.
You could experience bleeding or such menstrual disturbances towards the ending of the scheduled period. You need not worry about it and kindly go ahead with the shot as recommended. It is 99% effective in preventing pregnancy.
In case you are worried about getting pregnant despite this, you can temporarily use other modes of contraception like condoms and spermicides during this period of about two weeks.
