What Are The Implications Of Bone Marrow Seeping Into The Kidneys?
What are the implications of bone marrow seeping into the kidneys? My Mother is 85 years old and is wheelchair confined due to loss of bone and muscle deteroriation. She was told last week that after some tests were preformed that she had bone marrow seeping into her kidneys and that she could be given some kind of injection to (within some degree of success) retard the progression?
Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your query, my opinion is as follows. 1. It is possibly presence of blood in urine. 2. Due to glomerular damage and filtration being affected, increased RBC is found in urine. 3. Based on cause and renal biopsy, treatment is needed. If nephrotic syndrome, steroids treatment would be beneficial. Also, physiotherapy will be very helpful as she is bedridden. More clinical details and lab report necessary for further opinion. Hope it helps. Any further queries, happy to help again.
