What Are The Medications For Cold?

My pharmacist has recommended Calmylin with codeide (original) for my cold, on sunday.
It has stopped my cough but I cant get rid of my cold because the expectorant does not work at all.
I have consulted my doctor on tuesday and he recommended Calmydone witch is almost the same, and so are the results.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding cold. You have medication for the same but didn't get any relief.

Here I would like to tell you that nasal discharge and obstruction are the common symptoms of cold but the pathology behind may be variable. the treatment of cold depends on the causative factor which may be-

A- Allergic.

B- Infective.- The infection may be viral or bacterial.

C- Nasal polyp or any mass.

The line of treatment is different for all above, therefore if you have not getting relief by general treatment than consultation with ENT doctor is necessary to find out the real fact that can be manage accordingly.

Regards.
