What Are The Possible Treatments For Quadriceps Bursitis?

As a vet surgeon I was tempted to self diagnose quadriceps bursitis when my left knee became very painful- palpation of the medial aspect of the patella proved very painful. Pain subsised over 48 hours and was left with a mild ache over the insertion of the quad group on the patella. There followed ankle pain and swelling whic too is subsiding . I was preppared to let time sort the problem out but my daughter (medical sonographer) raised the question of DVT, one which I'd dismissed given apprent improvement over several days. Needless to say this leaves me in doubt?

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
Why do leave every thing to time , and avoid the investigations, clinically you would have excluded the Deep vein thrombosis, but you should keep in mind about the out come of the delay in treatment.
I advise you to have an MRI, for diagnosis and then you can have treatment by your self.
Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, and
protein rich foods to hasten the recovery.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
