What Are The Precautions To Be Taken If Diagnosed With Diabetes?

Hi! I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes this week. It was a shock to me. I thought I was doing good. I am 65. I have looked up menus and read a lot of things on the American Diabetic WWW.WWWW.WW I am wondering about breakfast cereals I can eat and snacks during the day. So far, I am starving from lack of finding foods I can eat to bring my sugar down.

Hello,
There is no need to starve. You have to avoid sugary and greasy foods, colas and junk foods.Take more of complex carbohydrates like whole grain cereal, whole grain wheat and pasta, lean chicken and fish, green vegetables etc.
Do regular aerobic exercises like walking for 30-45 minutes a day.
Consult your doctor and get some antidiabetic medications prescribed,if blood sugar levels are very high.
Thanks
