What Are The Radiation Pills Used To Treat Colon Cancer?
Dr is going to prescribe radation pills for Dad he is 91 & in excellent health i.e. drives ,yardwork ,& garden. he had colon cancer that has spread to lungs [Dr diagnois] went thru internal radation beads to open blockage in lung 9months ago he didn t want to put him thru regular radation to treat cancer because of age & quality of health wgat are these pills ?

One way to treat colonic cancers is to place small pellets or seeds of radioactive material into a tube or container so that they are next to or right into the cancer. This is called brachytherapy.These small beads are sometimes called radiation pills.
